Foot care tips during winters

Beauty cannot be expressed in words or a. There is a famous Bollywood dialogue – Aap ke paon dekhey, bahut haseen hain, inhen zameen par mat utariyega, Mailey ho Jayenge. It is the most memorable dialogue of Hindi Cinema.  Think of a person who is perfectly well-dressed from clothes to make-up and accessories. Now shift your focus to their feet and they just appear to belong to someone else.

In winter, taking care of your feet becomes all the more essential. Dry skin leads to cracked and chapped heels. And if you do not pay timely attention then it can worsen the situation all the more. Winters mean you need additional foot care.

Remove rough and dry skin

Chafed, rough and dry skin look dull and grayish.  The first thing that you need to do is remove it because regularly moisturizing dead skin will not help much.

A warm bath to achieve soft skin

Soak your tub in a tub filled with warm water; make sure that you use warm water and not hot water. Extreme temperatures further cause drying of the skin.  You can add shower gel for feet cleansing while soaking them.  If you have time constraints then you can do this while taking shower. When you soak your feet in warm water for ten minutes then it will soften the skin.

Remove dead skin

Rub your heels using a soft pumice stone while your feet are still damp. Avoid using metal foot scrubbers. Keep it gentle. Rub until you see rough skin being sloughed off.

Foot scrub

You can prepare this at home by mixing olive oil and sugar. Also, you can add tea tree or mint oil. Rub this mixture in a circular motion. The results of this scrub are simply great.  Foot scrub should be followed by a foot mask and moisturizing feet.
